When a request for quotation arrives complete, a panel builder can price it in days. When it arrives as one drawing and a line saying "please quote", the first week goes on questions and answers. This is the checklist our engineers would like every customer to have. Use it for SEGA M or for any other supplier: a complete RFQ gets you comparable offers.

1. Drawings and lists

Single-line diagram (SLD) for every board, with incomer, bus couplers and every outgoing feeder. This is the one document we cannot quote without.
Bill of quantities (BOQ) with the number of each board and any spare feeders.
Specification or the electrical section of the tender documents.
Room layout, if space is tight: available width, depth, height and door sizes on the way in.

2. Electrical ratings

System voltage and frequency (for example 400 V, 50 Hz) and the earthing system (TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT)
Rated current of the main busbar and incomer
Prospective short-circuit current at the board (kA) and for how long (usually 1 s)
Rating and type of each outgoing feeder: MCB, MCCB, ACB, fuse switch, motor starter
Any metering, power analysers, power factor correction or automatic transfer (ATS)

If the fault level is not known yet, tell us the transformer size and impedance and the cable length from the transformer, and we will estimate it.

3. Construction

Standard: IEC 61439-2 for power boards, IEC 61439-3 for small distribution boards. See our IEC 61439 guide.
Form of internal separation, from Form 1 to Form 4b. See forms of separation explained.
Degree of protection (IP) and impact (IK), indoor or outdoor
Free-standing, wall-mounted or recessed; front-only or rear access
Cable entry from top or bottom, and cable sizes for the incomer
Fixed, plug-in or withdrawable units
Colour (RAL 7035 is our standard) and labelling language

4. Preferred brands

Many specifications name the brand of breakers and devices. Tell us if a brand is required, preferred or open. If it is open, we can offer options at different price levels.

5. Site conditions

Maximum ambient temperature in the room, not the outdoor average
Altitude, if above 1,000 m
Humidity, dust, salt air (coastal sites) or chemicals

Hot sites in Africa and the Gulf often need derated busbars or ventilation. Telling us early avoids a redesign later.

6. Commercial details

Delivery place and Incoterm (EXW, FOB, CIF or delivered). If you do not know the nearest port, we quote to a port we select and re-quote to another on request.
Required delivery date and whether partial shipments are allowed
Documents needed: test reports, certificates of origin, approvals
Whether you want to attend the factory acceptance test (FAT)
